Review on SONGMICS Cabinet Pedestal Assembled UOFC60BK by Toni Lewis

I bought this filing cabinet because I recently bought my first home and wanted a quality filing cabinet for my home office. When it arrived, I was surprised to find that not only did the box have the typical hard foam inlays, but the entire case was completely surrounded by hard metal bars, providing extra protection during shipping. The only problem I had was after unlocking and flipping. Without my knowledge, to install the casters, the locking mechanism was moved to a position that made it impossible to open the drawers. When turned correctly, the key no longer turned all the way. Couldn't find a solution online so I emailed customer service. I got a great answer by proposing a solution and including the photo I posted here. A surprise hit on the top of the cabinet just above the lock dislodged it and I was able to unlock it. Aside from the fact that Songmics just made this available right on their website, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's well built, glides smoothly, and even the "knob" insert in the top drawer is designed to snap into place. I also like the fifth wheel that attaches to the bottom front center of the bottom drawer to prevent tipping. I trust that this cabinet will serve me for many years to come. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a solidly built filing cabinet.
