Review on Pfister S10-3300 Porcelain Cross Rebuild Kit with Three Handles, Polished Chrome Finish by Joshua Ngo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated look in the shower and no more drips!

Installed this kit yesterday. My wife loves the new look (we used to have clear acrylic handles that we had to constantly tighten to stay on the stick and the fact that they were clear meant you could see all the mold growing in them), and there is no more permanent apostasy. The pens that come with this kit are designed to fit metal to a metal shaft, so I don't expect them to snap or slip like the old acrylic pens. The porcelain cross handles feel solid and don't look cheap at all. I also had trouble putting the new diverter valve seat (centre) back in place. The problem is that the new seat on the key I bought moves too far. I think this is a design issue of the wrench, but I got around it by threading a small black rubber o-ring onto the wrench so the seat can only slide up to a certain limit on the wrench and so with the Thread comes into contact where it should have screwed in there. All of our valve knobs turn in the same direction to "activate" but the hot and cold water valves in this set turn in opposite directions. I don't mind this (will have to get used to it), but you should take this into account when installing, so install each one on the side you want. I couldn't figure out if there is a way to change the stem direction on these valves.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Wrinkled
