Poor molding design - mismatch

The instructions (and on the back of the box) state that the chrome molding is secured with a set screw. The trimmer does not contain this function. Instead, the base rings are held in place by a valve trim recess that threads onto the valve. In my case, the rosette cannot be screwed in deep enough to lock the base rosette in place. Even if it could be screwed in further, the ends of the valve would remain open. what can't be right. I fixed the ill-fitting trim by purchasing new chrome base…

The quality is so-so

I bought this to replace several broken shower mixer handles around the house. A lot of the reviews here have talked about the quality of these pens, but what I got isn't great. The porcelain is not that thick and the metal is visible. In my case it doesn't matter because it's only temporary until I do a proper shower repair, but just thought I'd point it out. I'm not a fan of shiny chrome, but that's a personal preference. I can't comment on the quality of the wands either as I couldn't get my

Perfect OEM replacement parts for my old PP 3 handle shower.

This is a direct replacement for Price Pfister cartridges and diverters. Very easy to install, just make sure you have the right tools. Our old cartridges were probably original for a house from the 70's. One of the porcelain handles fell and broke. I didn't want to replace the entire rear valving system so this was a great option. I tried removing the compression seats with a large flathead screwdriver and the seat came off very easily. It was soft and brittle. I ended up buying a wrench and…

Updated look in the shower and no more drips!

Installed this kit yesterday. My wife loves the new look (we used to have clear acrylic handles that we had to constantly tighten to stay on the stick and the fact that they were clear meant you could see all the mold growing in them), and there is no more permanent apostasy. The pens that come with this kit are designed to fit metal to a metal shaft, so I don't expect them to snap or slip like the old acrylic pens. The porcelain cross handles feel solid and don't look cheap at all. I also had…

A 42 year old Pfister

The parts appear to be well made and generally of good quality, original Pfister brands. They come with new water valves, a new central shower diverter, new seats and trim kits with handles. You have a 42 year old house and the old fixture had Windsor acrylic handles that always got wet and moldy inside the acrylic where you couldn't access without disassembly. The old diverter dripped from the tap when showering and the hot water valve dripped from the center when turned on. I'm glad I found…
