PLEASE FIX THE APP!

The application is clearly a weak point. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and am having connectivity issues (shows random bluetooth mac addresses, not just Maverick's) and connectivity (nearly ruined several meals due to lack of connection loss warning). I have to reconnect Bluetooth too often, sometimes with a stable connection of less than 20 minutes. Connection issues aside, I like it. Setting up temperature alarms and temperature ranges is easy. Select sensor, select meat and select doneness or set custom temperature. It's a fantastic user interface developed by people who obviously love to cook. That being said, I can't get over how awful the connection issues are. If they fix them, this product will be usable again and I'll give it the five stars it deserves. FWIW, I heard these issues don't happen on iDevices. So if you have an iPad or iPhone with Bluetooth 4.0 support, you should be fine. If you're not sure, they have a compatibility list on their website.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
