The phone app, required for bluetooth to work, REQUIRES access to my phone's location, media, photos and location. It won't load without it. What a company in China needs with this information before I can smoke a brisket is beyond me. (no, that's not entirely true). If you want to install Chicom spyware on your phone, this product is for you! I take a hard pass.

Received for Christmas 2017. I had an ET732 (which still works btw) but wanted to use my phone as the receiver. Worked great except for the limited range. It didn't read any sensors last month so I used 732l. Tried again today, fitted new batteries but still no luck. I will not buy again. The 90-day guarantee should have been a warning.

If you love smoking meat then you must have one of these. You don't have to open the smoker to check the meat while keeping the meat at a stable temperature. You can set an alarm to go off when your grill temperature goes above or below the temperature you set. This is a necessary thing. Buy it, you will love that you don't have to worry about the grill. Sit in a chair with your legs up without worrying about what your grill is doing.

The application is clearly a weak point. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and am having connectivity issues (shows random bluetooth mac addresses, not just Maverick's) and connectivity (nearly ruined several meals due to lack of connection loss warning).
