There are many and I'm sure they all do the same thing. I thought maybe I could find another use for it other than the one time I need it so I looked for one that had 2 wheels and where the bottom was a bit close to the ground and that was it. I have some strong magnets from an old MAC (regular hard drive magnets are usually thin/small but these G3 hard drive magnets are big and strong). I will stick magnets to the bottom of the gauge wheel to collect metal from the yard/driveway. The metal pickup tool I have in my home storage works but lacks power and requires frequent scanning of the same area to capture the metal. I think with the high power magnet I don't have to scan it as close to the ground as would be practical. Haven't built it yet so don't have pictures but for measuring this wheel worked fine. Remember to add about 3 inches to your final measurement when starting on the wall. Measure the distance from the end of the wheel to the middle. I assumed I was measuring a yard and it didn't matter to be exact. .The wheel is easily adjusted by pressing the reset lever.The numbers move back and forth.The handles lock when extended, preventing them from collapsing during measurement.
