The tool must be made of stronger steel.

This tool should have been a much stronger metal when I tried to remove the door spring the tool bent. I removed the spring with a crowbar. To replace the spring I put the spring in the tool and then in a vise to compress the spring and then drilled holes for another screw near the end of the tool. After that I was able to put the spring back in place.
