I am SO excited about my new binoculars! I ordered a compact 8x32. I would call them semi-compact. They're larger (and much better quality) than my ultra-compact pocket cases, while also being ideal for carrying in a pocket or on a belt. I had them for a week and I got to know them and had the opportunity to use them. They look great AND show things well from afar, sure! Thanks to the recess in the non-slip coating for each thumb, they are comfortable to hold. I have an issue with the finish and eyecups on many binoculars as most are latex. But they don't smell like tires and don't bother me. And the eyecups don't fold, but rotate so you can put on glasses. Match the width between the eyes in the middle. And they have correct diopters, which allows you to distinguish most people's eyes from each other. They use the dial type to focus the right eye first, and then use the main dial in the center to focus them for both eyes. * They came with a neck strap which is better than most binoculars. They also have lens caps on either end, the larger ones stay attached when removed from the lenses, and the ones above the eyepieces are connected by a sort of accordion fold of the same material, and there's a closed slot on one side to attach it. to the belt (WHAT A GREAT idea!), and there is a slot on the other side too, but there is a gap that allows you to remove it from the other side of the belt for use. Really great design! They also come with a padded side but padded pouch with Velcro closure for quick location of the binoculars. There is a belt slot on the back, but it seems small to me. I think it fits a 1" to 1.5" belt. They also come with a cleaning cloth. Their instructions say you should only clean them a couple of times a year. In between, use a blower to blow dirt away. in a plastic case to keep out dust and dirt that could scratch your lenses. I was very satisfied both with this excellent product and with the company's attention to customer needs. I recommend them wholeheartedly!* NOTE: I couldn't turn the corrector to correct diopter when I took them off the second time, so I wrote to the company and received a very quick reply, they gave me instructions on how to solve this problem and also to deal with the replacement, it does not work. It took me a decent amount of pressure to pull and twist, but they said it would work. They said it was stiff because it's new, so I plan on wiggling it back and forth a bit before putting the adjuster on my eyes.
