My wonderful wife bought them for me for Christmas. For those who have reported not getting sound from either side, I suggest making sure you plug in the jack on the far left side of the headphones. I had to try this multiple times to get it to work. It's been pure bliss ever since. I definitely hear a wider range of crisp and clear tones, tones and beats with these headphones than other headphones I use. Those who wrote about the feel-good factor of these headphones were right. As do those who wrote about how solid the mechanism feels as you expand and contract the headband. The fact that they lie flat and compact in the included pouch makes them perfect for carrying around in your bag without taking up a lot of space. I deliberately did not want WLAN or ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Wireless has its drawbacks, such as B. Pairing and charging issues that I didn't want to deal with. I only switch to wireless headphones when I'm on a crowded subway, etc. Otherwise, I prefer wired headphones. ANC comes at the expense of sound quality and I often need to hear what's going on around me e.g. B. when the train controller approaches my seat, when someone asks a question, etc. So from my point of view, I got the best headphones I could get and my wife spent less than $100. It's a win-win situation in my book.
