Nice and crispy and not coppery!
I regret paying what I paid for it. As others have pointed out, it's really poorly made. The threads are stripped, the head is obviously not perpendicular to the shaft, and the finish looks terrible. For $1 or $2 it would be ok. Quick update, I couldn't stand tool marks so I decided to clean it up a bit. It was a much tougher material than I expected and of course it's just steel and plated to look like brass. Attaching a magnet to it is a simple test. If you are looking for a brass hammer that will not damage harder materials, you will be disappointed. As I understand it, this is a rather serious misrepresentation of the facts.
