The best camera mount is the one you have with you when you need it! And it's a product that I always carry with me as it doesn't take up space in my camera bag. I've used it more often than I thought because I never would have considered carrying a tripod in situations where it turned out to be better if you did. And voila, Platyod comes out. I've also used it to attach a small LED light to it and install it in places you wouldn't install lights. It's very mysterious and many people don't even know what's going on. In terms of stability, I could probably fall back on a larger model. If you place the camera on a flat surface to avoid stress, it's pretty stable. For more adventurous uses, including things like adding a grab handle and hanging from the side of a branch at a sharp angle, you'll like the larger one better.
