Review on 🔒 “Secure Your Fluval FX5 Canister Filter with the Assorted Lock Clamp” by Dawn Webster

It's a bit unfair to hate that bad little detail when the real fault lies with the designer. The FX5 filter has worked for me for a number of years with no problems, except that the little orange plastic thing (shown on the right in the photo) crumbled on a couple of these clips. It doesn't take much to accidentally misplace them, so over-tightening will cause them to fall apart. And ten bucks for this part is shameless. Any locksmith could make some steel replacement parts for less than ten bucks each, and I'm sure I could sell a bunch of them.
