I wanted something I could use to work on my laptop in bed. The first thing I tried, the lap table, kept tipping over and was difficult to maneuver when I had to stand up. This stand is much easier to move around. It's also big enough for my 17 inch laptop and mouse pad. But he's definitely not perfect. First, I have to keep the mouse pad's platform level when I want to put a drink on it. So when I tilt the computer platform the mouse is noticeably higher than the keyboard and is on a ledge that I put my hand on and the platform doesn't extend far enough I have to sit right on the edge of the bed for the computer to be in front of me , which is inconvenient and negates the purchase of a stand. Another problem is that the two platforms don't maintain their vertical position. Every night I have to adjust the height of the platform so my computer doesn't stand on my feet. If I wanted to use my laptop on my lap, I wouldn't spend that much money on a stand. The design is imperfect. If these issues don't bother you, it's not the worst stand, otherwise you can keep looking for something better.
