Our cats love it!
Our picky kittens, who wrinkle their noses at most scratching posts, love this scratch pad and have loved it since we've worn it. Save our sofa! We applied around the post of our treadmill. Because the bars are diagonal, cats can choose exactly the height they prefer. We have to change positions every now and then because over time it slips a bit around the post, I think because the posts are quite slippery it's a big problem. The strong velcro stays firmly closed, I may add a small strip of non-slip mat to see if that helps.
