I was replacing a 12 year old 802.11b wireless router, so I spent a few days surfing online to find what I thought was the best router for the money. We have a variety of computers in our house, from a 10 year old Windows ME desktop to several 1 year old XP and Windows 7. We even have a brand new all-in-one wireless. Our wireless cards were all of 802.11b, g and n. This router accepted them all and everything works perfectly. We went from a 2.5k download to 17k on Windows 7. I even get 8K on one of the older 802.11g machines. This was all done via network connections on computers, but if you're not a techie, Belkin will provide you with a software CD to walk you through it all. phhhtt. It's that easy. Easy to set up. (1) Unplug your cable modem and remove your old router if you have one. (2) Place your N750 router on a table and connect the included Ethernet cable to your modem. (3) Plug in your modem and wait a few minutes for it to connect to the network. (4) Plug in the N750 router and wait a few minutes for it to work. (5) Belkin will provide you with a small card with your unique wireless network name (SSID) and unique wireless network password on it. This data resides in the router, so all you have to do is insert the software CD into your computer and follow a few simple steps.(6) Done! Now let's fire up the grill! And surf the web on the back deck while we fry the chops. For your health!
