Problems after 6 months

*** 6 months update. The sun and moon no longer work. This is the only feature we really wanted. The light is WAY too bright. The cord dangles so you'll lose your settings every time it's bumped. Almost a waste of money. *** After setting it up and using it, here's what I think: 1) The instructions are pretty clear. I've had no problem keeping them, with one exception, if you set the "alerts" for the sun and moon, they don't go on until the time you set, and then stay on for twelve hours. I first set them up at 2pm and there was no icon on the screen. I thought something was wrong. I expected to see the sun. But at 7pm the moon came out and stayed until 7am, then the sun came out and so on. 2) I essentially wanted two alarms, a day alarm (wake up) and a night alarm (lay down and stay in bed) to work on Monday. -Friday time and then Saturday-Sunday time. It only has an alarm from Monday to Sunday. 3) I wanted the clock to turn yellow at 7am (alarm one) and show the sun icon throughout the day. This watch will do the trick, but the yellow only lasts 60 minutes. We don't use a sound for the alarm clock yet as it's only 3 years old. So if he doesn't wake up in those 60 minutes, he won't see yellow. At least he will see the sun symbol. 4) How wisely I wanted it to turn blue at 7pm (second alarm) and the moon icon to appear all night. This clock can represent the moon, but the clock cannot turn blue unless you use your only alarm clock to do it, and even then it only turns blue for 60 minutes. 5) I also wanted to use them as a sound machine. Unfortunately, white noise has to be turned on manually to fall asleep. Then it turns itself off at 7am with an alarm. I wish it could be programmed to turn on and off like the sun and moon symbols. (Update*** You can always set the sound to ALL as well.) 6) The light is too bright. Not sure if we will use it. You can turn it off and not use it separately from the alarm clock if you want. It would be nice if the light could be programmed in the same way as the sun and moon symbols. All in all, this is a great little machine. Compared to what is available on the market, this is affordable for what you get. My favorite aspects are the sun/moon symbols and the presence of white noise. The main downsides are a Monday-Sunday alarm (I never want my kids to wake up at the same time on the weekend as they do during the week) and that the clock's light cannot be programmed beyond a 60-minute alarm. Keep an eye out for the next generation with a few tweaks. I want to get one for my daughter. (Update*** This worked fine for my son. Unfortunately most of the features are useless for us so far. All we use are the sun and moon icons. No light (too bright) and no sound (he decided that it was for that (he doesn't like it) I hope he has more of these as he gets older Still not bad for the price we paid My daughter has had a 'Tot Clock' for a few years I like their function better but they have raised the price to a ridiculous amount. If you can get them cheaper or trade them to me, do so.) (Update *** sun and moon no longer work.)

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
