Review on 🌈 Treatlife Multicolor Smart Bulb, Compatible with Virtual Assistant, Superior Quality by Leon Thompkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you use Google Home + Eero Mesh READ THIS.

First of all, now that the lamps work, they are GREAT. "Ok Google, turn on the red light at 50% brightness." Phew, done. You can also use the Treatlife app to set the lights to music (via your phone's speaker). I wanted to enable video, but since the app uses your phone's speaker to recognize music, it's not possible (or I think so?) to record the video, since the video feature disables the speaker for the app. Either way, trust me, it's amazing. We have some GE Smart Bulbs and I will be ordering them from now on. For about the same price, GE bulbs don't change color (boring). These bulbs also don't seem to "reset" like GE's bulbs when someone turns the light off, resulting in me having to tell Google to turn the light on and off a few times before the entire cluster works properly . As for the attitude. First off, the reviews saying it's rubbish and doesn't work with Google Home are 100% user error. I had no idea what 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz was until I unknowingly ordered these bulbs that don't work with my Wi-Fi setup. As far as technical skills go, I'm somewhere between your 20-year-old nerd cousin and your 70-year-old mom. THESE LIGHTS ONLY WORK ON 2.4 GHz. It is important. We use the Eero Mesh Wi-Fi system, which transmits both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. However, eero will always try to set the default frequency to 5 GHz. After two bottles of wine and real tears, I was ready to send them back. BUT. then I found an article online. The eero app (which my husband waited two weeks to tell me it was on his phone after contacting support three times) has the ability to temporarily disable 5GHz. To access it, go to Settings >> Troubleshoot >> My device won't connect >> Temporarily pause 5GHz. Voila! You now have 10 minutes to set up the light in the Treatlife app. BUT. If you're using Google Home (or Alexa), you're not done yet. Now you need to go to the Google Home app and allow Treatlife as a third party app (a "Service").
