Wish I had had one 30 years ago Don't waste your money and waste possible injuries on a cheap HF style threaded rod with cast iron lugs on it. They are always a PITA to use and you end up spending so much time getting them "right" to grab enough coils for enough compression. With this? Attach the perches, then just clamp the feathers like it's nothing and you won't feel like you can catch the feather in your face the whole time. It's worth it even if you use it once. Buy it if you are looking for spring compressors.
