I have two dogs. One doesn't shed, the other is a dachshund mix that sheds. I like to think that I'm a clean person. I have a Rumba and a vacuum with a Dyson about every two weeks (I'm sure you're judging me right now and I agree). Anyway, this morning I vacuumed the carpet shown in the photo (it's like a 4x6, not quite, but close). After vacuuming I remembered buying these filters (at least a year ago) but I was always intimidated by my lack of knowledge about vacuums to install them. But at that moment a whim of courage seized me and I decided to do it. I pull the filters out of the drawer I hid them in and proudly google "how to change the filter in the DC41" and think I'll really prove myself with this high tech DIY project. God how wrong I was. It literally took 30 seconds to replace BOTH filters. Di Now I feel like an idiot for waiting so long to find out. Anyway, I emptied the canister, changed the filters, and vacuumed the same carpet again. Folks, what you see here is what came out of my favorite carpet after the second vacuum, now with clean filters. I will repeat. This came out of my ALREADY VACUUMED carpet. I will never look at my vacuum cleaner like that again. Now her name is Stacey and I'm sure we'll live a long dog hair free life together.
