I really like this product. It's well made, looks great on a table or on the wall, and gives a lot of information at a glance. The main feature is the air quality displayed in the lower left corner, which is very useful. It also displays a bar graph of air quality over the past 24 hours. You also get a clock that shows the day of the week, temperature and humidity. It is well lit and very bright, even in the dark. This device is battery powered and can be plugged in at any time. What really frustrates me about this device is that there is no way to dim or turn off the backlight. If so, then it's not in the manual, and I couldn't figure it out by fiddling with the 4 buttons above. As a result, it's incredibly bright at night. To make matters worse, the battery doesn't even last 10 hours, so you'll either have to keep it plugged in all the time, or just have to toggle it on and off occasionally when you're not using it. But that's bad design. No one wants to run something like this to see the time or temperature. I can't understand why there is no option to turn off the backlight to save battery life of the device. I have another thermometer that lasts a full year on a small round battery, but without a backlight. So I know that's a big part of why this unit is draining fast. It's a great device, assuming the air quality monitor is accurate, but unless you leave it on all the time, or only use it occasionally, you can't just hang it on the wall and expect it to last a month or even a week. Due to the very bright backlight, which cannot be adjusted, the battery will be empty within a day. In general I was disappointed. The packaging of the product is very nice and the product itself looks and feels high quality. But the real benefit is just not there in my opinion. This isn't a phone that's easy to charge every night. People don't want to take something off the wall every day to charge it. I just can't believe this product came out with such a serious problem.
