I bought this mug in part because another reviewer said it was small. This is the PERFECT size for our needs. My 92-year-old grandmother developed significant hand tremors. My mother always told me that my grandma couldn't drink coffee in the morning because she had trouble putting a cup to her mouth. I wanted something that would fit her hand snugly, but I also wanted something that still looked and felt like a real coffee mug. (These things can be very important for self-esteem as a person learns to adapt to new challenges.) This mug definitely ticks all of those boxes. For some reason she hates really big cups - I think she and Michael Bloomberg would be friends - she likes this cup which looks a lot like a regular sized coffee cup. The lid comes off easily, which benefits her limited dexterity, so she can add packets of sugar (plural) on her own, which is important to her and still possible at the moment. The only hurdle/please we've found is that the sleeve that comes with the mug isn't thick enough to dissipate some of the heat (my grandma's been very temperature sensitive lately), but we think we have a satisfactory one Solution found. for this from our side. My mom and dad loved the look of this mug and now I know I plan to make at least one of their Mother's and Father's Day gifts. I wouldn't mind having one myself. It's definitely value for money.
