Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 48300 Pushrod Extractor Tool by Andy Kucrud

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too weak: Steering and suspension tools

I have a 1998 Buick Century and I replace the head gasket before it leaks (I think it will). This tool is a great idea, but on my 3.1 V-6 the bottom teeth of the tool on the first rocker arm are bent. I work on a farm with a well stocked shop and was able to weld a new "fork" to the bottom of a thicker steel tool. Then the upper frame of the tool began to bend and twist after the 3rd valve rocker arm. Then I straightened it and welded a thick support to the top of the tool. It's a good idea and it works as it should, if it doesn't flex it should be heavier (at least for a 1998 Buick 3.1 V). 6)

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Intervals
