For many years I tried to pull bike tires off without a bike lever and for a while it worked, I could pull tires off without it. Then I realized that as I got older, my hands got bigger and it became a lot harder to take the tire off, sometimes with a crowbar (worst decision I've ever made). I could do it, but it took me about five minutes. Then, after purchasing the Park Tool 6.2 tire changers, it really cut my time in half by about three minutes, to the point that it now only takes me about two minutes to remove a tire. They really are the best on the market, you really can't find a better product, they are strong steel with plastic molding for long lasting protection and they won't break. I love Park Tool and I love their bike tools they make them some of the best in the business and while the tools are expensive they actually save money in the long run. With 85% of their tools being made in America and 25% overseas, there really are quality tools out there that really last. Furthermore, once you invest in these tools or in one of their many tool sets such as AK-2, AK-3, PK-3, BMK-264 or MK-278 or each tool individually etc. etc. d. that is money , which pays off. you back to the future. Never buy generic bike tools, it will only cost you more in the future. I highly recommend this product, you will not regret it.
