Good solid tire levers

They look like great tire levers, much better than other plastic levers I've used (and clicked). The front of the exposed metal is not thin or sharp enough to cause damage, but will aid in penetration. This part is a little thicker than I thought it would be, but not by much. I find it easiest to use one of my plastic levers to start the bead and then use it for proper leverage when needed.

The TL-6.2 outperforms the TL-1 and lasts a lifetime

If you're looking for the ultimate cost-saving tire changer, the TL-6.2 is for you. I keep the TL-1 in my panniers and in the shop, but I struggle with 23-25mm tires all the time. The TL-6.2 tool is twice as thin as the TL-1 and only 1 ounce heavier per pair (2.01 ounces per pair) BUT it makes a world of difference when it comes to removing a tire from a rim . Especially in the field or to save time at home. It's definitely worth the extra money if you struggle and possibly pinch the tube or…

IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 5 BIKES, BUY IT!

Without a doubt this is a fantastic product. I take it with me wherever I go. Although I regret the purchase. I've only changed two tires and it will probably be a few more years before I buy more. Not worth the money. I have only used this product for tire removal. They were unnecessary when I put them back on. I hardly needed this product once I removed the tire. A cheaper set would have worked for sure. I held one of these levers in my hand for a total of five seconds to remove the tire…

Maybe I'm just missing something...

I've been a huge fan of park tools for a VERY long time - at least 30 years, probably closer to 40. I was a mechanic at a local one for a few years in college bike shop. I've found that despite the high price, their tools usually cost more. However, I was shocked by these levers. Maybe I'm just missing something fundamental here, but this is incredibly bad! Not only did they badly scratch my black anodized rims, they also ripped out the inner chamber! Completely useless. But take this with a…

For hard tires!

There are companies that make longer bags out of steel, but these are perfect for smaller panniers. In fact, I don't think longer tires work on tighter tires like mountain bikes. I wish there were 3 of these in a pack but they were perfect for a very stubborn mountain bike tire that I needed to mount on a rim. My rim is painted, the fact that they have a plastic coating on it prevents the rim from being scratched, it's perfect. There is a small piece of metal at the end. So be careful when…

Good balance of strength and size.

I've resigned myself to putting extra levers on my rides and expecting half of them to break the first time I use them. I used the big thick yellow plastic bottles from the brand you have to vote for. wink/squeeze. In desperation I have also tried using the small arms of motorcycle spoons and covering them with heat shrink tubing. Bad idea. Too strong and too fat. These parking levers are made of metal *just* thick enough not to bend (yet) and thin enough to fit without pushing anything out…

Park Tool TL 6.2 with steel core is the best.

For many years I tried to pull bike tires off without a bike lever and for a while it worked, I could pull tires off without it. Then I realized that as I got older, my hands got bigger and it became a lot harder to take the tire off, sometimes with a crowbar (worst decision I've ever made). I could do it, but it took me about five minutes. Then, after purchasing the Park Tool 6.2 tire changers, it really cut my time in half by about three minutes, to the point that it now only takes me about…
