I bought this to add an extra power rail to my truck so I can set the timer off feature. It's deceptively large. The fuse section is 3-3/8 inches long. The cable insulation is rated at 105C which is typical for automotive applications.The cover is snap-on but not waterproof.It can protect against splashes or low pressure jets when installed with the cover in the upright position.I highly recommend the use of dielectric Silicone paste as a splash guard holds the Buss MAXI-Fuse firmly enough to remove with two hands, not pliers BussMan brand name, not a cheap fake.
