All smoke and CO sensors in our house have been replaced to date. The first smoke/carbon monoxide alarm I received rattled when taken out of the box. This was my first Kidde smoke/carbon monoxide alarm so I'm not sure if the rattling is acceptable. Sent an email request to Kidde support via their website. No response within two days after that. It is called. Total waiting time maybe 20 minutes. The lady on the other end was very polite, helpful and advised returning the item to Revane. Did it the next day and got a replacement 48 hours later. The good news is that the Kidde website has a cross-reference page on swapping out old devices for new ones. Very convenient.
