Review on Tripp Lite PV700HF Compact Inverter by Richard Marriott

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good but not good enough for me

It worked fine and worked fine. However, I needed an inverter that would start my Kenmore side-by-side fridge during an extended power outage and the load was too high and it immediately overloaded. I've played around with $40 inverters in the past, so I was hoping this $90 inverter would fill the bill, but it doesn't. I ended up trading it for the item below which works great and works with my fridge. I've found this item to output 105 to 110 volts, which will work for most things, but the upgrade outputs 120 to 125 volts and as I mentioned, it starts and runs my fridge. Inverter with 2 AC 2 USB sockets, 2.0A battery cable (Pinv1500). The fridge alone drew 1.0-1.2A. I still leave a lot of overhead on a row of LEDs in a 58" LED TV and Blu-ray player.
