Failed: Jumpers, chargers and portable power supplies

The device started smoking and stopped working, contacted the company to have it replaced under a 1 year warranty and sent them all the information they requested and Still no answer.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Reliable inverter

Perfect device for me. Works as advertised. The fan doesn't bother me because my devices are louder and I have the device with charger and batteries in the closet. Easy to install and keep working.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not the best

Well done unit. works with jumpers, chargers and portable power supplies

Five stars if they do something about the noisy fan and add a control circuit. It just doesn't need to be done if the device is lightly loaded. Another 40 cents in design would correspond to a significantly better device.

Doesn't do a good job of controlling the smoke.

The fan runs constantly regardless of the load and is LOUD. After 2 minutes with a 500w resistive load the smoke suppression system failed and I had the pleasure of watching the fan do a fantastic job pushing the smoke out of the unit. I have had good service with Tripp Lite products in the past and chose this product based on my previous experience with one of their very small inverters and their line filters which were fine. Sent back to China.

Small and bulletproof!

Very good device! Some people say it's a bit noisy, which it probably is; however, it will never overheat! When you pack something like this inverter into a relatively small package, you sacrifice something. In this case, for a little more noise, I get a bulletproof inverter that I can mount under or behind the seat of a small work truck. I have purchased several of these identical units over the years; They are all used daily and none of them have even had a blown fuse!

  • Impressive

Very good device in inverters

The device works very well and is very inexpensive. I wish it had a remote switch, big wire terminals, and GFCI. I was able to open the block and toggle the block on/off, but this isn't for the layman. I've noticed that I get sparks when connecting to the battery, even when the device is off. I hooked up my ammeter and noticed that when I first connected it there was a current that quickly went to zero. In this way, the battery is not discharged when the device is switched off. I used the…

Good but not good enough for me

It worked fine and worked fine. However, I needed an inverter that would start my Kenmore side-by-side fridge during an extended power outage and the load was too high and it immediately overloaded. I've played around with $40 inverters in the past, so I was hoping this $90 inverter would fill the bill, but it doesn't. I ended up trading it for the item below which works great and works with my fridge. I've found this item to output 105 to 110 volts, which will work for most things, but the…
