Review on πŸ”§ ReadyLift 4" Rear Block Kit (66-2294) for F250/F350/F450 Ford by Greg Birchfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quality goods and decent destinations.

Easy installation with proper tools. If you have an F250 Super Duty you know it's heavy and sits quite high making it harder to lift safely. I used two jacks (2 ton and 3 ton) and raised the universal joints on the rear axle. Do not forget wheel chocks on the front wheels! I then lowered the truck onto 6 ton wagon legs supporting the frame which sat on a 2x6 cross hatch 3 ply bolted "tower". Removing the wheels helps a lot to gain full access to the work area. The instructions for removal and installation are neat and illustrated, the pitch for the support bearing extension included in the kit is not listed, but it is easy to understand. To remove the old gimbals you may need a PB blaster to detach them. You need a powerful impact wrench and a decent impact rod. When assembling you will need extended deep well sleeves or you will need to cut the ends of the U-connector threads for a regular deep well to work. I did this. You'll need to tighten to over 150 ft-lbs, so you'll need to use an outlet. The good news is that the truck is now perfectly aligned and much easier to tow. The best part is that I bought it on sale for $125.
