Fat tires seem extremely puncture-proof. I've been running smooth light tires for the last 5 years but have recently started running rougher/muddy terrain resulting in lots of punctures and cuts so I switched. The bad news is the tire is so fat it feels like it's skidding in corners (maybe a thick tread is rolling), but it rolls easily in a straight line and is puncture resistant, so I like it. Cannot be a tire for a rider consistently going faster than 20-25mph. Usually an average of 17-22 depending on motivation.
