Replaced some very aggressive mountain bike tires on my old mountain bike now used as a road cruiser with those big apples. Couldn't be happier. Absolutely great road tires. I took them to the forest to see if they were usable. I've found I can use them on the trails when taking friends into the woods who don't have bikes. I need to lend them my new bike and I use it. Because I can't let anyone get hurt but me. So if you want multi-purpose tires, I would choose a tire with some tread on the sides and a smooth center.
