🚲 SCHWALBE Big Apple Hybrid and Touring Wire Clincher Bike Tire: Performance Line, RaceGuard, Multiple Sizes and Colors Review

This tire was used on a 16 inch unicycle. It's a bit thinner than the stock 16x2.125 tire, but I really enjoyed the ride. Inflating it to the lower end of the recommended range, around 35psi, will give you a smooth ride but also a bit of bounce. The tread pattern is good for road use and very quiet. However, the sidewall is extremely paper thin and was damaged while riding on gravel. It wasn't overly difficult terrain, I feel the tire should be able to handle it.

Replaced some very aggressive mountain bike tires on my old mountain bike now used as a road cruiser with those big apples. Couldn't be happier. Absolutely great road tires. I mounted these on my Raleigh M-60 MTB after seeing them here at Revain. My brother is an avid cyclist and he recommended them. He rides them on his Surly Ogre (see below). While the tires are good for 55psi, he says, "they actually roll better at lower pressures of about 45psi." I was able to install them on standard VXC2.2 drives with my bare hands.
