Review on 🚲 SCHWALBE Big Apple Hybrid and Touring Wire Clincher Bike Tire: Performance Line, RaceGuard, Multiple Sizes and Colors by Tony Francis

I mounted these on my Raleigh M-60 MTB after seeing them here at Revain. My brother is an avid cyclist and he recommended them. He rides them on his Surly Ogre (see below). While the tires are good for 55psi, he says, "they actually roll better at lower pressures of about 45psi." I was able to install them on standard VXC2.2 drives with my bare hands. (By the way, the tires arrived about five days early. I was expecting them on Wednesday, and they arrived the previous Friday. You can't go wrong promising less than you deliver.) They're a little taller than one Studs/mud tires MTB. so you can check the vertical clearances (as well as the horizontal ones) before ordering. But they should fit any mountain bike with 26" wheels. I had to reconfigure the rear brakes and I don't know why because it's the same rim. Also, there are 100psi compared to a road bike with 25mm tires some extra rolling resistance, but that's only noticeable if you're using an app to track your rides, then you can see that your top speed was slightly lower and it took an extra minute to complete the ride, in other words ", the extra resistance is only important when you're competing. But if you need to roll in grass or dirt/gravel you'll appreciate the added versatility over a road tire. I have a gravel driveway and don't feel the need to ride it with riding down a mountain bike like I would a road bike In the driveway the tires feel planted, no right-left R uck like a racing bike. .The only downside I've noticed so far is that they make road noise, enough to be noticed over wind noise and it's very similar to road noise. ise remote control car does. Conclusion: If you have a mountain bike with 26-inch rims and mainly ride on asphalt, dirt roads or dry trails, these tires will suit you very well. My brother says the fit on his Ogre (which boasts "Fatties Fit Fine") is a little tight and "they rub a little when I'm cornering tight at high speed. " And yet they're perfect for my M-60, which predates bbw fashion. I'll change studded tires again if I ever drive along a farm fence, but Big Apples work for everything else.
