Review on Dorman 924 751 Parking Brake Crank by Ken Pinell

A few oddities but generally recommended

This replacement kit worked great on my 2001 Toyota Tacoma TRD. My originals were completely burned and rusted so I decided to replace the entire assembly on each side. I only have two complaints: 1. The snap rings that fit onto the trunnions in the housing are straight and have no tension on them. I had to bend them a bit before putting them on to keep them in place. Also, these housing pins must be cotter pins, as must the pivot pins on the cable connectors. 2. There are two white neoprene washers that you need to insert between the crank arm and the housing that the pivot pin goes through. The case bore is too narrow to mount both washers together with the crank arm itself! But I am happy with the installation and recommend it as a replacement.
