I never write reviews but I had to! Please do not buy this item! I've had mine for 3.5 months and initially it was great. He straightened my thick hair quickly and easily. However, this morning I straightened my hair with no problem. I turned it off and came back 20 minutes later to straighten my daughter's hair but the unit wouldn't heat up and then started smelling. Then it flashed the ER4 code and started smoking! I turned it off quickly and am so glad I didn't forget to turn it off like I used to! This product is dangerous! I have over $200 now and I can't get it back! My last straightening was done by the same company and took several years, but apparently the new model is made differently. Don't waste money!
