Review on Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 225/65 R17 102S winter by Edyta Dywan ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

Size 255/55 R18. Put in place on a Volkswagen Tuareg FL model year 2022 and later. I've driven on Michelins and Nokians before, but this is my first time on a non-studded Tuareg because it's impossible to predict how the tire will react in an emergency ("the checker breaks," and the car suddenly and unexpectedly changes the direction of movement in a turn; the rubber simply "breaks"). Vzal to replace Nokian's Bridge7000; no problems; can use for another four seasons; noisy, though. Because I drive mostly on asphalt (wet, with "porridge," frozen - but nonetheless - asphalt), and because my other car has performed better on such surfaces when not studded, I made the switch. The disc's edge is not protected, which is disappointing given the high quality of the rubber used.

Pros
  • Tires that are quiet, comfy, and behave reliably
Cons
  • I assumed that high-quality rubber would provide some sort of shielding for the disk.
