Review on Camco 40559 Dual Propane Tank Cover - Heavy-Duty Polar White (20lb or 30lb) by Aaron Richardson

My old gas cap had seen better days and needed to be replaced. There seemed to be many different model numbers for Camco's wide range of gas caps, but the dimensions of this product matched my tank layout, so I bought it. Very easy to assemble (everything you need is included). The instructions for the fasteners that keep the access panel closed could be a bit clearer (they can be installed incorrectly). Some reviews said the plastic is too thin and not strong enough. Before assembling and installing the components seemed a bit "wobbly" but once everything is tightened they are actually quite solid! The instructions suggest using a "bungee cord" or similar elastic strap that hooks onto the tabs on the front and back of the trunk base to attach it to the trailer frame. I use a nylon ratchet strap across the lid to secure it. It will not be blown away when towed 👍. The strap also ensures the access cover stays closed and minimizes the chance of someone tampering with the tank valves. The price range for these caps is quite wide and I can't figure out why, but the one I have for $20 is quite expensive. reasonable and excellent value for money! My last lasted over 10 years. Even if it lasts half as long, it still has great value! Contrary to some of the other reviews and as I mentioned above, once this case is assembled and fitted to my campervan it appears to be quite durable and I suspect it will prove to be very durable.
