I bought the Koolatron Battery Saver because my car's 12v outlet is always on. I use the outlet to power my dash cam and phone charger and I don't always forget to unplug them, which leads to premature battery failure when the car is left idle for several days. Koolatron comes to the rescue: it only turns on when the engine starts and turns off automatically until the battery dies. Now I don't have to worry about leaving things plugged in knowing it will save my battery. It's also a quality construction with long, thick wires and red/green indicators. Excellent goods.
