An external ground must be used. Works perfectly!
I wasn't sure if this motor would fit my '97 Itasca Suncruiser but it was the perfect replacement. I understand that the old motor only had an internal ground, so I ran a ground wire from the frame to one of the motor mounting bolts. Before connecting the power I checked the ground strap connection for continuity and had to rough the connection to the frame to get a good circuit. Connected and working fine. Five stars!
