Review on Rösle 9-inch Stainless Steel Garlic / Ginger Press with Scraper for Effective Mincing by Kayla Guzman

Very poor weak garlic press

Very poor garlic press especially for the price. I cook every other night. I used a cheap OXO garlic press for over a decade until the handle came loose. I bought this press expecting it to work just as well as other Rösle cookware. I was disappointed almost immediately. The garlic chamber is very small. The grate folds down for easy cleaning, which is nice, but the actual surface of the press is at the end of a thin piece of metal. Yesterday, with normal use, a thin piece of metal bent at the solder joint between it and the surface of the press causing the surface of the press to not line up with the garlic chamber. In theory, I could bend it back to its original shape, but the device is so weak it's only a matter of time before it bends again. A little over a month after purchase (just outside the return window) it is functionally unusable. I generally believe that you get what you pay for when it comes to kitchen accessories. This is a bad product at any cost, but totally unacceptable for a $40+ product.
