Didn't work for me and my new Nikon D810. It worked fine for an hour and then went off. I tried again a few hours later and it worked again, but only for 15 minutes this time. I wiggled the cable connector and it seems very loose. The battery pack insert also appeared to be loose. Somewhere it just won't keep in touch no matter what I try. It is packed and ready for return. I only have a bad model of it? I won't be trying that again anytime soon. Hopefully someone will make a more reliable and less expensive replacement for the Nikon version. ***Update*** I have since purchased a genuine Nikon version and am very happy with it. Yes, it was expensive, but I'm happy with the reliability and quality of the official Nikon version. I've been using it in my studio for 3 days and it works great. If you can afford the real deal and shoot a lot in the studio, I strongly recommend you ditch the cheap Chinese design and go for an official Nikon model.
