Review on Scratch Art Tools Set: 9 Pieces for Adults & Kids - Painting Paper: Artist Glove, Tools Bag, Scratch Coloring Pens, Plastic & Wooden Stylus, Scraper, Repair Pen, Clean Brush by Kristen Simpson

Some tools are useful, some are not, one is useless

This set turned out to be very ambiguous in many ways. The tool bag is convenient to store and carry. A two finger glove is useful as the scratch board's black surface collects fingerprints which are visible in certain lighting conditions and protects the board from sweat as advertised. The black scratch pens work with the metal tip, but the gold tip doesn't scratch the black surface of the board at all, no matter how hard you press on it. The red scraper turned out to be very useful and versatile, and the brush turned out to be handy. Also useless were wooden and plastic tools, none of which scratched the black surface. Finally, the repair pen was useless - it was completely dry and had no ink at all. Pictured are some scratch pictures I made with metal tipped tools. Again, other tools don't scratch the black surface at all. These images are inspired by the creative genius of Edward Gorey. Overall it's a disappointment, but the tools that really work have helped me create some good drawings. I would not recommend this set as it can be frustrating, especially for young aspiring artists.
