LED Driver met all of my Expectations

This LED Dimmable Driver is just as advertised. It easily handled a 22-foot string of 60 light per meter LED tape lights. My wife liked how the top lights came out so well that she asked me to add under-cabinet and floor-facing cabinet lighting. The three levels would have overloaded the original LED Dimmable Driver so without hesitation, I bought a second one. There is no hum emanating from the unit when dimming the lights and no flashing from the LED light strip as the wall light dimmer is adjusted. The only thing needed was a common dimmer wall switch. I used the Leviton 6674-P0T for this since it matches other dimmers originally installed in the house.I’m very happy with the selection of this LED driver since it met all of my expectations. It comes without a power cord as it is suggested that you hardwire the installation to a 120V circuit. I had an overhead socket above the cabinets that were originally installed when the house was built so that was the easiest 120V source for me to use. There is an end cap on the end of the LED Dimmable Driver that slides up to reveal the 120V connectors. A similar end cap is located on the other end that slides up to access the 12V connectors for the tape lights. These were a little hard to slide up as they have plastic teeth on the inside to keep them securely pressed down on the wires after all the connections are made. I had to carefully pry them up with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Be careful if you decide to do the same. Cracking an end cap would be easy to do as they are made out of plastic.

Pros
  • Nice led light when powered on
Cons
  • Ordered two. One wouldn't turn on and the other had the green light turn on but no power to the lights.
