Best Buy suggested a L but I'm a 5'9 190 pound woman. I order XL in almost everything so I thought I'd give both sizes a try. The XL was actually on a flash sale so it was cheaper than the L, but I tried on both (see photo of side-by-side comparisons). The more you don't wear the correct size, the more the fabric pulls and appears more sheer. Also, length of the dress was very important since I'm tall, you can see the Large is borderline inappropriate for a 36 year old woman wearing this out on the go for a trip in Las Vegas. I don't want to my butt out. The colors are stunning, I saw the dress was manufactured in China so I am worried about cheap dyes. I hope the colors do not bleed or fade.
