I bought these for cycling (road bikes eg 10 gears) because I have tattoos on my sleeves that I don't want to wash off if I drop them. I carried her (to the squeaks and snorts of my children and my elderly father), but when Mrs. T. (the dog) suddenly changed course and her leash caught on the steering wheel, I checked her carefully. I shuffled most of my weight on one forearm for at least 5 feet, and I can't even tell which sleeve slipped across the pavement. It's not ripped or torn at all. Just like my hand. I would buy them again if I had two hands left or if I thought they wouldn't last forever.
