too small for most plums

As others have said, this only works for small (less than 1-3/4") plums with a maximum pit width of 5/8". If you have a source of small plums this might work for you, but the size limit is too small for plums that grow on my (Santa Rosa) plum tree or others found in grocery stores. It seems sturdy and well built.
