Review on Heavy-Duty Pumice Scouring Stick by Pumie by Vanessa Knipp

A great way to get rid of hard water without chemicals!

I love finding ways to clean without chemicals. I've had yellow stains on my toilet from hard water for ten years and I didn't know how to get rid of them. That is the answer. It took 20 minutes of moderate brushing because it was so bad but now that I've got rid of it a once a month pumice scrub should keep the ring from coming back etc. As you can see from the photo posted I always have still there are some growths at the very bottom that need to be removed but it's a big difference. (My kids toilet, which is only about 4 years old and had a lot less debris, only took 5 minutes to fully clean). I also cleaned up the rust stains around the sink drains in our bathrooms. I will definitely have these stones on hand. A word of warning: I've tried pumice stones before without success and have concluded that the ones I've tried before were too harsh - they scratched the bowl and didn't remove debris. They are softer and work immediately. BUY THESE - other brands may be more difficult which will not work/damage your china. It took a whole stone on my toilet, but once you get rid of the buildup the pumice should last a long time, if only to do preventive maintenance/catch the buildup every month as soon as I see them starting. I cleaned half my toilet so you can see how bad it was and what the difference was after using the pumice stone. And like I said, there's still some build-up in the picture after that, but it's hard to get there and it's an extremely difficult build-up, so it's going to take a little longer to get rid of.
