They are enough for 10,000 miles. Not really.
The idea that in a 21st century car we still have to change the oil every 3000 miles or 3 months is very outdated and wasteful. You don't drive a Model T. It's marked with a 10K filter and I put full synthetic oil in my engine. Oil change every 10,000 km or annually. Then the car's computer tells me to change it. Less than 3,000km. Disclaimer: If you live in Death Valley or the North Pole (a city in Alaska) or Mojave, you may have a different oil change schedule. Most of us don't live in these places. If yes, please read the user manual.
