Running a drain hose through the porthole at the bottom of the water filler compartment to the black and gray tank fitting in the filler compartment of my 2018 Dutch Star is tricky. Standard hose fittings stick out just behind the fitting and I have to wrap the hose around and then feed it through the fitting underneath the fitting. This knee is just the right size. My entire valve assembly and connector fitting rotates up and down a few inches. I can attach this elbow to the port fitting pointing straight down and turn it back down and the elbow will be perfectly centered in the port opening. Then I can attach the drain hose from below - no more tight loops in the drain hose, which allows my tanks to drain better.
