Review on ๐Ÿ‚ Optimized Snowboarding and Skiing Knee Pads: Triple Eight Undercover Snow by Chad Cypert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very efficient padding, side padding is great but straps are not very individual

Great knee pads for snowboarding. They have a low profile and easily fit into snowboard/ski pants. My favorite part is the extra padding on the side. this has saved me several times. Unfortunately, they tend to fall on me. I wear thermocompression pants (actually pantyhose) and put knee pads between those pantyhose and the snowboard pants. I ordered a large because I'm tall or XL and because of some injuries I had as a teenager I have particularly big knees. The knee portion of this thing is very tight, but there may not be velcro straps because I can't tighten them enough for them to work. BUT I used to play a lot of hockey and am no stranger to floating knee pads. I just dug up some old hockey tape, taped the knee pads to my leggings and boom. Perfect. Four stars because the pads work very well but the velcro straps have a custom range, maybe 3 inches. They didn't have a hard time making the Velcro longer so the straps could be tightened more tightly. I prefer the Flex Force Demon Knee Pads, but they're three times the price and they get the job done as long as they're secure.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Fits
